Foreign banks face Bharat challenges

Apart from a more assured point of view regarding local incorporation for systemically important foreign banks, the Discussion paper does little to shake up the game for existing foreign banks. It does, however, change the rules of entry for new entrants by defining categories of banks that may not be eligible for the branch mode of presence.................
