Rangarajan is PM’s choice for Finance Minister after Pranab

Dr. Rangarajan may not be a suitable choice for the post of FM on account of his age and a track record of not having taken bold decisions. He is not a political person unless like our PM he learns to become one! At his age, it may be too late for any major transformation in his basic nature!
He is also a soft person and with the PM known also to be a soft person, the combination would prove disastrous as the need of the hour is for persons who have to mete out deterrent punishment for wrong doers.
Any way, we could certainly afford to install a younger person as the FM. My choice for the post would be Dr.Raghuram Rajan who is young, brilliant and bold and could be expected to take decisions which would turn round the economy.He would be able to deliver results if he is provided the necessary backing the way Dr.Manmohan Singh was provided by the best PM India has had so far( leaving Nehru),viz. P.V. Narasimha Rao.
